THE ETHIOPIAN CHRISTIANS FELLOWSHIP CHURCH in Houston was established in 1984.

The first Sunday service took place with only eight members, of which six served in the choir. Now, that number has grown to over 300 active members and still continues to grow. In November of 1989, the Church was incorporated in the state of Texas and, subsequently, was granted the 501C status by the Internal Revenue Service.

After conducting years of unrelented services inside rented church premises, the church was able to acquire land in 1997 and erect the current building located in southwest of the city in 2000.
